Message from the Leadership
Within the food service business, the main business foundation of Gourmet Brands Company inc. is that of bakery & sweets with a higher percentage of take out.
It is true that our sales volume within the create restaurants group is small, but precisely for this reason we want to grow by creating good products one by one.
When establishing our company, we were particular about including the word "brand" in our company name.
What is important is the "structure" that continuously sells the product; it does not suffice to just create products that taste good.
And we realized that the mechanism for that was to create a strong "brand."
We want to create a brand that have people say "I don't know how to explain it but it makes me want to eat it again" "I just love it!"
I want to develop it into a company wherein we can establish robust communication.
I want it to have a culture where people in the front line actively speaks up, individually challenge many things, and grow as a team. And I personally want to create such a "mechanism."
To this end, communication between our staff will be important!
Ultimately, I'd like each of our staff to be under the illusion as if each of them is the owner and engage in their work.
I want them to be someone who can "actively initiate their action without being told" by accumulating many faliures as well as successful experiences, not someone who "does something that was told (being made to do something)."
Business Overview
Gourmet Brands Company inc. was established in March 2015 with the aim of developing products with a higher added-value through partially inheriting the restaurants that were originally operated by created restaurants and the holdings company.
Some of our major brands include bakery & cafe "JEAN FRANCOIS," "Bread&Coffee IKEDAYAMA," and "EBISU FOOD HALL." In addition, we operate cafes on consignment.
Aside from reliable expansion strategies, market analysis and developing products with high level of added value, we also focus on promotional strategies. How can we make people want to pick up and purchase our product (trial use)? And after tasting it, how can we have them say " delicious ! I will go back again ♪"(repeat use).
From product development to promotion and customer service, I want the company to be able to execute them as a unified team. Also, one of our strengths is that we have chefs with French culinary background as well as pasrty chefs as part of our product development team.
For example, this team work is utilized in developing savory breads and danish type breads when developing our bakery menus.
